Beekeeping farmers will be involved in the identification-registration process
/ Agency News
The National Food Agency, with the support of the National Animal Registration System (NAITS) project of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), provides registration of bee farms free of charge.
Representatives of the National Food Agency and the National Animal Registration System (NAITS) project hold regular meetings with beekeepers. In order to increase awareness about the benefits of identification and registration among the farmers, relevant information and visibility material have been prepared.
The National Animal Registration System and identification-registration process contribute to the introduction of the animal product traceability system, which is an important link in the food safety chain. Also, it allows farmers to participate in and benefit from various government programs, produce competitive products and sell them smoothly in local and international markets.
Farmers should apply to regional/municipal offices of the National Food Agency for beekeeping registration. The registration process is free of charge for farmers.
