CDC announces competition to train veterinary epidemiologists

The American Center for Disease Control (CDC) for the countries of Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus, within the field epidemiology training program (EESC FETP-Intermediate), announces a competition to train veterinary epidemiologists to become veterinary mentors.
The program will start in January 2023 and residents from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Armenia and Ukraine will be able to participate. The program consists of 1-2 weeks of seminars that will be held in Georgia. Workshops are accompanied by field work. During the program, residents will continue to work full-time at their workplaces. The training program will last for 10 months.
A group of mentors will be selected from among former FETP graduates to provide support to future residents.
