Permits

 LEPL National Food Agency issues two types of permits:

 

1.      On import and transit of products under the veterinary control;

2.      On import of plant origin products under the Phytosanitary control.

Products under the veterinary control - all types of animals, animal origin products and raw materials, feed (feed additives), biological, treatment and other chemical-pharmaceutical medicines for veterinary usage.

Plant origin products under the phytosanitary control - products under the phytosanitary quarantine control, materials and objects, helping to spread the quarantine organisms.

For the permission on import and transit of the products under the veterinary control, the applicant should introduce the following documents:

• Application;
• Receipt of the permission fees;
• Veterinary Certificate;
• Registration Certificate from Entrepreneur Registry;

For the import of the biological and treatment medicine, additional registration document should be introduced.

The validity of the permit for the import and transit of the product under the veterinary control is 1 (one) month.

 

For the permission on import of the products under the phytosanitary control, the applicant should introduce the following documents:

• Application;
• Receipt of the permission fees;
• Registration Certificate from Entrepreneur Registry;

 

The validity of the permit for the import of the products under the phytosanitary control is 6 (six) months.

 

The fee for the permission on import of the products under the veterinary and phytosanitary control is being paid to the NFA account:

20 working days  -  50 GEL

10 working days  - 70 GEL

5 working days  - 90 GEL

1 working day  - 100 GEL

 

Issuing importt  permission for phytosanitary controlled production

 

20 working days  -   25 GEL

10 working days   -  35 GEL

5 working days   -    45 GEL

1 working day    -    50 GEL
