NFA management has met shepherds in Dedoplistskaro region
NFA management has met shepherds in Dedoplistskaro region. The meeting concerned problems, which shepherds have. The shepherds were given information regarding sheep crossings and vaccination. Future plans were worked out, from next year the government will carry out sheep prophylactic immunization and the shepherds will have to organize sheep identification as it is an essential procedure for exporting.
Also on the meeting was arranged celebration of shepherd's day, which will be held at every November 15, which will be a summary.
It has to be mentioned, that Georgian sheep export potential is growing with the support of NFA. Last period Georgian sheep was exported to Israel, which is the result of prophylactic immunization carried out by NFA.
Current year 137.000 heads of sheep were exported to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran, Libya, Jordan, Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, Syria and other Arab countries.
